FTTx Network Services from Chunghwa Telecom
Chunghwa Telecom introduces its new FTTx (which includes all fiber technologies from fiber-to-the-kerb to fiber-to-the-home, such as FTTN, FTTC, FTTB and FTTH) network services, which provide customers with higher bandwidth for faster data transfers. FTTx networks use optical fiber, replacing traditional copper loops to connect to network boxes, neighborhoods, buildings, or homes. FTTx uses either Ethernet or VDSL technologies in its architecture.
FTTx Internet Service Features
- In addition to high-speed Internet, mutual on demand multimedia (MOD) bandwidth services can be provided.
- Software and hardware aimed at bolstering Internet security can help to avoid problems of theft or interference.
- Uses the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet interface standard; customer PCs only need an Ethernet card to use the Internet.
