The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office issued evacuation orders and warnings after a prescribed burn jumped its containment lines near Corralitos Friday afternoon.Evacuation orders were issued for zones PAJ-E001, PAJ-E002, PAJ-E003, PAJ-E007, near Mt. Madonna County Park.Cal Fire CZU directed residents to Zone Haven to check if their zone was under an evacuation order or warning.Zone CRZ-E046 (Summit area) was placed under an evacuation warning. People in the area were told to prepare to leave. The Estrada Fire began as a prescribed burn Friday morning. Cal Fire has called in air support and multiple agencies are assisting in containing the burn. The fire has burned about 20 acres and a spokesperson for Cal Fire said: “wind is not a concern” at this time. It is burning through dry tender and brush.
