Hurricane Ida won’t have much of an impact on our weather this weekend, with the area receiving typical scattered showers & storms, and highs in the lower 90s.
Hurricane Ida is a category one hurricane this morning as it spins in the Gulf of Mexico, but is expected to become a catastrophic Category 4 hurricane before striking Louisiana on Sunday night. Ida poses no threat to SW Florida.
Meanwhile, Tropical Depression Ten has formed in the tropical Atlantic. TD Ten is forecast to become tropical storm Julian, but should safely stay out to sea.
