Wildfire erupts in U.P., crews on site


LAKE TOWNSHIP, MI – A wildfire erupted in a remote area of the Upper Peninsula’s Menominee County around 6:30 p.m. Monday, WLUC reports.

The Broberg Lane fire has engulfed about 30 acres in a remote area of Lake Township near Shakey Lakes, the report said. It’s unclear how much of the fire is contained at this point. The cause is under investigation.
